A hacker has breached TeleMessage, an Israeli company providing modified messaging apps to the US government, accessing direct messages and contact information, as reported by 404Media. The hack revealed that TeleMessage’s archived chat logs lack end-to-end encryption, compromising the security of messages and government officials’ details, including phone numbers and emails of Customs and Border Protection officials. Following the incident, the company removed its website, which previously detailed its services and capabilities, and the stolen data also allegedly included information related to crypto exchange Coinbase and Scotiabank.
