Technological universities are an essential part of third level and deserve funding – The Irish Times

An interview with Prof Hugh Brady in a newspaper highlighted his concern over the declining quality of Irish higher education due to underfunding. While I agree with his assessment, I believe more investment is needed to support the flourishing of higher education in Ireland. However, our disagreement arises when Prof Brady suggests that funds should be allocated based on performance metrics, a point on which we do not see eye to eye.
