The 2026 Henry Community Health Hall of Fame Classic is scheduled for December 21-22 at New Castle Fieldhouse, featuring girls’ and boys’ tournaments, respectively. This marks the 43rd edition of the girls’ event and the 50th for the boys. In the past two decades, the girls’ tournament has seen 21 teams that went on to win state championships, while the boys’ tournament has had 19 teams achieve the same feat. Tickets for the event will be available through participating schools and the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame starting in early November 2026. The girls’ games on December 21 will include Pendleton Heights versus McCutcheon, followed by Franklin Central against Northridge, with consolation and championship games later in the evening. On December 22, the boys’ competition will feature Oak Hill against Terre Haute North and Homestead against New Albany, also concluding with consolation and championship games.

Why It Matters

The Hall of Fame Classic is significant not only for celebrating high school basketball but also for its historical impact on the sport in Indiana. The event has become a showcase for talent, often featuring future collegiate and professional players. With a legacy spanning over 50 years for boys and 43 years for girls, the tournament highlights the competitive spirit and achievements of Indiana high school basketball programs. The presence of multiple state champion teams in past tournaments underlines the event’s role in recognizing and promoting young athletes at a crucial stage in their development.
