Coroner’s inquest into death of baby Poseidyn Reigns Hemopo-Pickering begins

A doctor at Starship Children’s Hospital testified that the injuries sustained by 10-month-old Poseidyn Reigns Hemopo-Pickering were inconsistent with the parents’ explanation of a fall. The baby suffered a skull fracture and brain injury more akin to severe trauma, such as being struck by a cricket bat or involved in a high-speed train crash. This testimony was part of the coroner’s inquest into Poseidyn’s death on September 6, 2020.
