Once off-limits to Syrians, Assad's former summer residence now attracts tourists

After the fall of the Assad regime, a fighter with Hayat Tahrir al-Sham stands on the terrace of Bashar al-Assad’s abandoned family villa near Latakia. The property, including a summer home with a private beach on the Mediterranean, is now accessible to locals who are cutting wood for fuel and visiting the villa like a museum.
