Sylvester Stallone becomes executive producer for Rambo prequel John Rambo

Sylvester Stallone has joined the production of Lionsgate’s upcoming Rambo prequel, John Rambo, as an executive producer. The film, currently in production, will explore Rambo’s early years before the events of the 1982 classic First Blood. While Stallone will not appear on screen, his extensive history with the character includes co-writing and directing previous films in the franchise. Directed by Jalmari Helander, the movie stars Noah Centineo as a younger version of Rambo and aims to delve into the character’s origin story.
