Sydney Marathon winner provisionally banned for doping

Kenyan marathon runner Brimin Misoi Kipkorir has been provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit after testing positive for prohibited substances, including EPO and Furosemide. Kipkorir, who set a course record at the Sydney Marathon in 2023, had a positive sample in an out-of-competition test in November 2024.
