Swedish man accused of selling nonexistent Pablo Escobar products

Olaf Kyros Gustafsson, also known as “El Silencio,” has been accused of running a global scam selling non-existent Pablo Escobar-branded products such as cellphones and flamethrowers. Gustafsson, extradited from Spain to Los Angeles, faces a 115-count federal indictment for money laundering, wire fraud, and mail fraud. He allegedly used Escobar Inc. to market fake products, accepting payment but never delivering the goods, leading to a trial scheduled for May 20.
