SVG’s impressive car control in Las Vegas joins NASCAR’s best moments

During the NASCAR Cup race at Las Vegas, Shane van Gisbergen executed a remarkable drift after making contact with Erik Jones and Chase Briscoe, managing to avoid a crash despite flat-spotting his tires and going a lap down. While impressive, it wasn’t the greatest save in Las Vegas history; that title belongs to Jamie McMurray, who pulled off a similar feat in 2009. Additionally, a safety truck driver demonstrated remarkable control during practice, fishtailing down the frontstretch in another notable save.
