Woman admits to false claims against astronaut ex

A woman named Summer Heather Worden has pleaded guilty to falsely accusing her astronaut ex-wife, Anne McClain, of accessing her bank account illegally while McClain was aboard the International Space Station in 2019. An investigation revealed that Worden had granted McClain access to the account, contradicting her claims. Worden faces up to five years in federal prison and will be sentenced in February 2026. McClain, who has denied the allegations, returned to the ISS in 2025.
