The Met Gala guests will suit up for the annual event in May with a dress code of “Tailored for You,” in line with the exhibit focusing on menswear and Black style in menswear over the centuries. A new host committee of high-profile celebrities, including athletes, filmmakers, actors, musicians, authors, artists, playwrights, and fashion figures, has been announced for the event, which will feature a menu by celebrity chef Kwame Onwuachi and launch the spring exhibit “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” running from May 10 to Oct. 26. The exhibit will examine Black dandyism through the lens of historical and cultural Black style, with a focus on transformation of identities through dress and fashion.
