On May 25, Lebanon commemorated Liberation Day, marking the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon in 2000. While President Joseph Aoun emphasized the need for full Israeli withdrawal, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Naim Qassem rejected direct negotiations with Israel, calling for national dialogue instead, amid ongoing tensions and casualties from Israeli attacks.
