Key Grip is guided by the mantra “It’s Gotta Swing”. Under the leadership of Leo Joseph, Key Grip navigates the intersection of blues and jazz, delving into the nuanced hues of the blues genre. With a rotating lineup of musicians, Key Grip continually evolves and experiments to discover their unique sound. The lead vocalist, Angela Lount, brings a soulful, smooth, sultry, and sassy touch to the group. “Blues with Soul” will be presented by five Canberra-based “bluesicians”, drawing inspiration from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, BB King, Ray Charles, and more. The performance will take place at Smith’s Alternative on Sunday, March 17 at 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm). For more information, visit: smithsalternative.com
