Students Charged in ‘To Catch a Predator’ TikTok Scheme

Five college students at Assumption University in Massachusetts are accused of luring a man to campus, inspired by “To Catch a Predator” and a TikTok trend, with two students assaulting him. The man was not seeking underage girls and was invited by a student on Tinder. The students face charges including kidnapping, conspiracy, assault, and intimidation, with the university condemning the behavior and the victim being an active-duty military service member.
