Schiff: Trump Plans to Influence 2026 Midterm Elections

Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., stated that former President Trump may attempt to overturn the results of the 2026 midterm elections if Republicans lose seats. Schiff emphasized that Trump’s actions following the 2020 election indicate a willingness to subvert electoral outcomes, urging a massive voter turnout to prevent any potential cheating. He criticized proposed voter ID laws as disenfranchising, despite widespread public support for such measures. Schiff attributed Trump’s behavior to declining popularity and dissatisfaction with his administration’s policies.
