US Airstrike in Syria Targets ISIS Leader, CENTCOM Reports

The U.S. military conducted a third round of retaliatory strikes in Syria, killing Al-Qaeda-affiliated leader Bilal Hasan al-Jasim, linked to an attack that killed three Americans last month. The strikes, part of Operation Hawkeye Strike, targeted over 100 ISIS infrastructure and weapon sites. U.S. Central Command emphasized their commitment to pursuing terrorists attacking American forces. The two soldiers killed in December were identified as Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres Tovar and Sgt. William Nathaniel Howard, both from Iowa.
