A woman in Savannah, Georgia, is recovering from third-degree burns after a man poured a corrosive chemical on her while she was walking in Forsyth Park on Wednesday night. Police have not made any arrests and are searching for a suspect in dark clothing. Savannah Police Chief Lenny B. Gunther assured the community that the investigation is a priority and patrols in the area have been increased. Mayor Van Johnson emphasized the city’s commitment to resolve the case swiftly and keep the public informed.
