A West Virginia National Guard member, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, who survived being shot in the head during an attack in Washington, D.C., is making “amazing” progress and can now stand up, according to President Donald Trump. Wolfe’s condition has significantly improved following the shooting on Thanksgiving Eve, where he was critically wounded, while his colleague, Army Spc. Sarah Beckstrom, tragically lost her life. The suspected gunman, Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, has been charged with murder and assault. Wolfe’s family and medical team remain positive about his recovery, with him surpassing expectations and showing remarkable improvement.
