This week’s cold weather is expected to improve briefly on Saturday, with wind chills in the mid-20s for Chicago, mid-30s for New York City, and mid-40s for Washington D.C. A quick-moving snowstorm will move through the Dakotas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota, bringing 3 to 7 inches of snow to some areas. The Rockies will continue to see significant snowfall over the weekend, with Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Warnings in effect. Frigid air is on the way for next week, bringing near freezing high temps and below zero low temperatures to the Midwest and Northeast.
