AirTag Aids Rescue of Labrador Swept Out to Sea

A black lab-mix named Sadie was rescued in San Diego after being swept out to sea by a rip current. A surfer alerted lifeguards, prompting a search that lasted over an hour, during which Sadie was located nearly two miles away thanks to an AirTag on her collar. Lifeguards and the U.S. Coast Guard successfully brought her back to shore, where she joyfully reunited with her relieved owners. Lifeguard Garrett Smerdon expressed optimism about Sadie’s survival throughout the ordeal.
