Texas Mom Killed in Ambush Outside Workplace

Alyssa Burkett, a 24-year-old mother, was brutally attacked at her workplace in Texas on October 2, 2020, suffering 44 stab wounds after being shot at by her assailant. Investigators linked the crime to Andrew Beard, her ex-fiancé and father of her daughter, who later pleaded guilty to charges including cyberstalking and was sentenced to 43 years in prison. Beard claimed his fiancée, Holly Elkins, orchestrated the murder; she was eventually convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Following the tragedy, Burkett’s mother adopted her granddaughter, Willow, who bears a striking resemblance to her late mother.
