Morgan Geyser Waives Extradition Hearing in Escape Case
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Morgan Geyser, one of the “Slender Man” stabbing assailants, waived her extradition hearing and is set to be returned to Wisconsin after cutting off her ankle monitor and fleeing a group home in Illinois. Following her capture, Wisconsin District Attorney Lesli Boese urged the state Department of Health Services to revoke her conditional release, citing concerns about her posing a risk to the community. Geyser, who was found not guilty by reason of mental illness for a 2014 stabbing, had been released to a group home after a decade in a psychiatric facility. Her attorney argues she does not pose a danger to others, but her recent actions have raised significant safety concerns.
