Portland Trail Blazers Coach Chauncey Billups to Appear in Court Monday

Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups plans to plead not guilty to federal charges related to allegedly luring players to rigged poker games, set to be heard in Brooklyn federal court. Prosecutors claim Billups, alongside 30 others, used his celebrity status to attract high-stakes gamblers to games manipulated by organized crime. Evidence against them includes electronic devices and surveillance footage. Following the charges, the NBA initiated a review of its protocols regarding sports betting and placed Billups and Miami Heat’s Terry Rozier on leave.
