A man set a 26-year-old woman on fire during a verbal altercation on a Chicago L train near the Clark and Lake station on Monday night, leaving her in critical condition with severe burns. The suspect, approximately 45 years old, poured a flammable liquid on the victim and ignited it before fleeing the scene when the train stopped. Authorities have taken a person of interest into custody as the incident remains under investigation. The woman was hospitalized after the fire was extinguished.
