Indiana Deputy Killed While Helping Stranded Motorist

A Delaware County sheriff’s deputy, Corporal Blake Reynolds, was fatally struck by a semitruck while assisting a stranded motorist on Interstate 69 early Wednesday morning. Despite activating his emergency lights to protect the driver, another semitruck lost control and collided with Reynolds’ vehicle and the disabled truck. The incident, described as a tragic event, resulted in Reynolds’ death despite immediate medical efforts. He was recognized for his professionalism and leadership since joining the sheriff’s office in 2022.
