DNA Identifies Suspect in 1986 Yogurt Shop Murders

Police in Austin, Texas, have identified Robert Eugene Brashers as the man responsible for the 1991 murder of four teenage girls at a yogurt shop, a case that had remained unsolved for nearly 34 years. Advances in DNA technology linked Brashers to the crime, as well as multiple other unsolved cases, although he died by suicide in 1999.
