Maryland man charged in killing of missing 19-year-old Dacara Thompson: Police

A 35-year-old man, Hugo Hernandez-Mendez, has been arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Dacara Thompson, whose body was found on August 31 in Anne Arundel County after she was reported missing. Surveillance footage revealed Thompson entering Hernandez-Mendez’s SUV before being taken to a home in Bowie, where evidence suggests she was killed.
