Hiker found dead, daughter remains missing on Mount Katahdin in Maine: Officials

Tim Keiderling, 58, was found dead, and his daughter Esther, 28, is missing after they attempted to hike Mount Katahdin in Maine on Sunday. They were last seen on the Katahdin Tablelands, prompting a search by park rangers and over 30 game wardens after their vehicle was found at the trailhead. While Keiderling’s body was recovered on Tuesday, the search for Esther continues, and all Katahdin trails are currently closed.
