An Idaho woman, Allie Qiu, was arrested after her 2-year-old child was found alone in a locked, overheated car outside a restaurant in Meridian. A bystander alerted authorities after seeing the child crying and sweating, prompting first responders to provide medical care before the child was hospitalized in stable condition. Qiu, charged with felony injury to a child, is being held without bail, and police emphasized the dangers of leaving children or pets in hot vehicles.
