Georgia college student remains in ICE custody after mistaken traffic stop

A 19-year-old college student, Ximena Arias-Cristobal, remains in ICE custody following a mistaken traffic stop in Dalton, Georgia, on May 5, where she was incorrectly identified as the driver who committed a traffic violation. Although all charges against her were dropped after a review of dash cam footage, her undocumented status raises concerns about potential deportation, as her family revealed she is ineligible for DACA. Arias-Cristobal has a bond hearing scheduled next week, and her father is also detained at the same facility.
