A 10-year-old girl named A’erica Shukai was tragically killed when a tree fell on her home in Atlanta during severe storms early Saturday morning. Living with her were her mother and grandmother, both of whom were injured but are in stable condition, while A’erica’s father had passed away two years prior. The family, grieving this significant loss, plans to hold a candlelight vigil and has received support from Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, who has called for prayers for A’erica’s loved ones.
