A runaway kangaroo named Sheila caused a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 85 in Macon County, Alabama, leading to the closure of both highway lanes as authorities attempted to recover her. The incident occurred when Sheila escaped from her owner’s enclosure near a pumpkin patch and petting zoo, but she was unharmed in the accident. After being treated by the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, Sheila was returned home safe and sound, much to the relief of her owner, Patrick Starr.
