Over 50 million Americans are bracing for severe weather on Monday, particularly in the Midwest, where a storm system is expected to bring damaging winds, large hail, and potential tornadoes, especially in north-central Iowa and surrounding areas. This storm follows recent flash flooding in the Plains that resulted in one fatality and will be accompanied by heightened flooding risks in central Montana and extreme fire weather in the Southwest, with red flag warnings in effect due to low humidity and strong winds. The severe weather threat will transition to central Texas and upstate New York on Tuesday.
