Severe Snow and Wind Impact Saskatchewan

A significant winter storm from Alberta has brought heavy snowfall across Saskatchewan, with totals expected to exceed 40 cm in some areas. Gusty winds of 70-80 km/h are creating wind chill factors below -40°C, particularly along the Alberta-Saskatchewan border. Meteorologist Chris Stammers noted that while most snow has fallen, conditions will remain poor with travel warnings in effect due to near-zero visibility. Regular February temperatures are anticipated to return in the coming days, but no melting is expected soon.
