UK forecasters are monitoring Storm Erin, which has formed off the coast of Africa, but its trajectory towards the UK remains uncertain. This storm, the fifth of the 2025 Atlantic season, may strengthen into a hurricane while heading towards the Bahamas, and if it were to change course, it would retain its name despite the alphabetical naming convention used in the UK.
