Parts of the country have been warned to prepare for possible flooding after forecasters issued an amber weather warning for heavy rain, with some areas expecting up to 80mm. Emergency services are responding, and travel disruptions have already affected train services. Storm Claudia, which originated in the Canary Islands, will bring strong winds and heavy rainfall, increasing the risk of flooding across central and southern England and Wales.
