Status-orange weather warning due to come into effect on Tuesday for 22 counties – The Irish Times

Met Éireann has issued two status-orange low temperature and ice weather warnings for several counties, with hazardous travel conditions expected until Thursday. Approximately 10,000 homes are without electricity in Kerry, Limerick, and Tipperary, while 25,000 are waiting for water connections. Schools and childcare facilities are closed in some areas, and the HSE is still affected. Irish Rail warns of possible delays and disruption due to the cold snap.
