Despite international support and rulings in favor of Jehovah’s Witnesses, the persecution and severe sentencing by Russian authorities continue to escalate, with little evidence of extremist activity found in the trials.

Takeaway fined after serving wrong meat in ostrich curry
Abdul Malik Ali, owner of Amalik Cafe Ltd, was fined after selling an ostrich curry dish containing sheep meat at his Jaipur Spice takeaway restaurant in Thirsk.
