Man fatally shot at St. Louis airport after brandishing knife

An officer at St. Louis Lambert International Airport fatally shot a man armed with a knife early Friday morning after he refused to leave a restricted area. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. during routine checks, with the man advancing toward officers despite being tasered. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and while the light rail line to Terminal 1 was temporarily closed, airport operations remained unaffected. The St. Louis County Police Department is investigating the shooting.
