Spring Arbor couple Paul and Christy Akeo, who were detained in a Mexican prison for almost a month on fraud allegations, have been released following a court ruling dropping all charges against them. U.S. Rep. Tom Barrett played a key role in securing their release and reuniting them with their family back in Michigan. The Akeos shared harrowing accounts of their time in prison, expressing gratitude to those who helped bring them back home, including President Donald Trump and Congressman Barrett.
