Spotify Introduces Real-Time Listening Share Feature

Spotify is enhancing its platform to encourage user engagement by introducing a feature that allows users to see their friends’ real-time listening activity within chat. Users can interact by playing tracks, saving them, or reacting with emojis while also commenting on song choices. Additionally, a “Jam” feature enables Premium users to invite friends for collaborative listening sessions, while free users can join but not initiate. Currently, this messaging feature is limited to one-on-one chats and will gradually roll out for iOS and Android users.
