SpaceX’s Starship Flight 9 successfully launched, marking the first reuse of a Super Heavy booster, but both rocket stages were lost mid-mission due to a “rapid unscheduled disassembly.” Although the Super Heavy broke apart during its landing burn, the Starship reached space but failed to deploy its payload of dummy Starlink satellites due to a fuel tank leak, leading to a loss of attitude control and a breakup during reentry. SpaceX plans to analyze data from the flight and aims for the next three test launches every few weeks, despite not achieving all mission objectives.
