South Korea and Japan imposed sanctions on individuals, organizations, and vessels linked to Russia’s alleged weapons procurement from North Korea, violating UN resolutions. Seven North Korean individuals and two Russian vessels were targeted for their involvement in weapons trade between Pyongyang and Moscow. The sanctions were declared by South Korea’s foreign ministry in response to the illicit activities.
