Sophie Molineux has been appointed as Australia’s Twenty20 captain following Alyssa Healy’s retirement, marking a new era in women’s cricket. The 28-year-old will also lead the ODI and Test teams during the Caribbean tour in March, with Tahlia McGrath remaining as vice-captain and Ash Gardner elevated to co-vice captain. Molineux expressed pride in her new role, acknowledging Healy’s influence, while selectors emphasized her leadership qualities despite injury concerns. Australia will face India on February 15, where Molineux will officially take over as captain.
