Sony has an idea for a gameplay rewind button, but it’s not what everybody thinks

Sony is considering adding a “gameplay rewind” button to future PlayStation controllers, as shown in a recent patent filing. Contrary to initial reports, the feature would allow players to rewind buffered video of their gameplay and view it while still playing the game, rather than rewinding gameplay like a save state. This system aims to make reviewing recent gameplay easier and more integrated, potentially enhancing the gaming experience for players on PS4 and PS5.
