Norwegian royal’s son arrested for assault and knife incident before rape trial

The eldest son of Norway’s crown princess, Marius Borg Hoiby, has been arrested for new criminal allegations, including bodily harm, wielding a knife, and violating a restraining order. He was detained ahead of his trial on charges of rape, domestic violence, assault, and drug possession. Police seek to keep him in custody for four weeks. Hoiby, stepson of Crown Prince Haakon, faces additional charges on top of the 38 counts he already faces, including rape, abuse, drug trafficking, and death threats.
