New U.S. regulations now require Canadian snowbirds and other non-citizens staying for 30 days or more to register upon entry, providing fingerprints and photographs for a $30 fee. While children under 14 are exempt from fingerprinting, those entering by land must complete both Form G-325R and Form I-94, with some ambiguity remaining on enforcement and application processes at border crossings.
