Three hillwalkers were rescued from the Cairngorms in Scotland after a nine-hour operation by Braemar and Aberdeen Mountain Rescue teams on Thursday night. The trio called for help near Lairig Ghru at 21:45 GMT after struggling in wind and snow, but all are now safe. Scotland is under fresh ice and snow warnings following a cold snap that saw temperatures drop to -6C.
