Slain Cal Fire captain’s wife arrested in Mexico

Yolanda Olejniczak Marodi, the wife of slain Cal Fire Capt. Rebecca Marodi, was arrested in Mexicali and transferred to U.S. marshals in San Diego on suspicion of murder. Marodi, 49, was found stabbed to death in her home in Ramona, and Olejniczak Marodi, the prime suspect, had driven into Mexico the night of her slaying. Olejniczak Marodi, who had previously served time for killing her ex-husband, was seen on home security footage arguing with Marodi before the incident, and was captured on camera with blood on her back and arms, holding a knife, before fleeing the scene.
