Sky Sports has secured the rights to broadcast the Tata Indian Premier League and Tata Women’s Premier League live for the next four years, from 2024-2027.
This new deal means that Sky Sports will remain the go-to destination for fans in the UK & Ireland to watch the IPL and WPL, featuring some of the best players in the world from both the men’s and women’s game.
The agreement covers the broadcast of these top T20 tournaments starting this year and running until the end of 2027. These events will be added to Sky Sports’ already impressive lineup of exclusive live cricket coverage, available on Sky Sports and NOW.
Sky Sports’ coverage of the WPL began earlier this year and concluded with a thrilling final where the Royal Challengers Bangalore emerged victorious over the Delhi Capitals. The IPL is set to kick off on March 22 with a match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, airing live on Sky Sports.
Fans can expect to see 74 live matches from the IPL in 2024, featuring top players like Moeen Ali, Jos Buttler, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma. Jonathan Licht, Managing Director at Sky Sports, expressed his excitement about bringing these exciting events to viewers and enhancing the cricket lineup for fans.
All the action from both leagues will be available on Sky Sports Cricket, with non-Sky subscribers able to stream the matches with a NOW Sports Day or Month Membership. Don’t miss the 2024 Indian Premier League starting this Friday on Sky Sports Cricket and Main Event.
